Director - Special Situations

Andrew joined Greycoat in 2020 and heads up our Special Situations team.

Andrew has over 20 years experience in asset and corporate investments, non -performing loans, and various distressed situations and has invested in multiple jurisdictions as well as across real estate and infrastructure asset classes and capital tranches, working with blue chip institutions and sophisticated family office capital; as a principal investor, transaction volume of over US$15 BN.

Previously Andrew was with Fletcher Challenge, Bechtel Enterprises (the investment arm of Bechtel Corp., with c. US$90 BN of capital investment into infrastructure, energy and technology sectors), Citigroup’s US$20 BN Real Estate Private Equity arm (part of Citigroup’s US$100 BN Alternative Investment Platform (Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate and Managed Futures)), and Thames Private Investments (London based single Family Office).

Andrew graduated B.Sc., (Pure Mathematics) and B.Eng., (Structural Engineering) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, is an alumnus of the University Chicago and obtained his M.B.A from London Business School.

  • MOTO (Restructuring, Refinancing and Sale)
  • Selected Infrastructure transaction experience includes London Underground Public Private Partnership (PPP), refinancing (Whole Business Securitisation) of London Underground PPP, and UK and European Transportation sectors (Ports, Airports, Shipping and Logistics), Digital Infrastructure plus Infrastructure fund structuring and capital raise
  • Selected Real Estate transaction experience includes German Non-Performing Loan’s, UK corporate sale and leasebacks, pan-European investment into offices, retail, industrial / logistics and hotels, with a particular focus on Germany, France, the Netherlands and Central Europe; Fund Equity Capital Raise (€1.5 BN European Income & Growth Fund, €1.0 BN European Shariah Compliant Fund)
