Posted in June 2015

Greycoat and Cheyne Capital have secured consent for a major refurbishment and extension of 8 Salisbury Square, EC4.

The TP Bennett Architects-designed scheme is due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2017 and comprises a partial rebuild over lower ground, ground and eight upper floors to provide 155,000 sq ft on floors ranging from 12,000 sq ft to 19,000 sq ft. The scheme includes five roof terraces.

Greycoat acquired the asset in joint venture with Cheyne Capital and is acting as development manager. Greycoat acquired the sute, secured early vacant possession, and achieved a full planning consent to extend the existing building by approximately 35,000 sq ft. Demolition work on the scheme will start once KPMG departs for new offices in Canary Wharf next month. GM Real Estate and DTZ are leasing agents.
