Greycoat has recruited Nick Millican, formerly a Director at the real estate private equity firm Rockpoint Group, as its Chief Executive.
Peter Thornton, Chairman, said: “We are delighted that Nick has decided to join us and we are all looking forward to working with him. He will not only provide a new generation of leadership but will add a new dimension to our business going forward, with an increased ambition and focus on the investment management side of the business”.
Paul Johnston, real estate finance specialist at law firm Reed Smith Richards Butler, has also joined as Chief Operating Officer.
Peter Thornton will continue as Chairman, although he will relinquish his dual role as CEO. Finance Director Martin Poole and Property Director Andrew Craven will also stay on, as will all other directors and staff.
Nick Millican said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of working with one of the most experienced and best known names in the property business with a fantastic reputation and track record for financial innovation, creative management of assets and success in delivery of developments.”
“I intend to bring a fresh approach to the company to drive growth and new business, whilst maintaining Greycoat’s market leadership in central London asset management and development. We are confident that Greycoat’s mix of financial, structuring and core bricks and mortar skills will allow us to identify and ultimately deliver new and attractive investment opportunities in London for significant capital providers.”
“I enjoyed more than six years at Rockpoint and look forward to bringing the real estate and financial expertise I gained there to bear at Greycoat, alongside the vast knowledge and experience of Peter Thornton and his colleagues.”
